<p>This is interesting because Moby <a href="http://www.moby.com/news/2009-04-15/free-download-now-available.html" rel="nofollow" >has been giving away the song Shot In the Back of the Head on his website since months before the album&#8217;s release</a>.  Even though the album has been officially released and the song can be purchased, the <a href="http://www.moby.com/download/1" rel="nofollow" >free download is still available</a>.</p>
<p>So despite the fact that Moby has been giving away the song for months, it is still the most paid for song on the third most popular album.</p>
<p>This appears to be great proof that free music and music sales can co-exist.</p>
